Directions to Untermyer Park, 945 North Broadway, Yonkers NY.
The entrance to Untermyer Park is between Richmond Center to the south and St. John’s Riverside Hospital to the north.
By car:
Saw Mill River Parkway, Northbound and Southbound:
Exit at Exit 9 (Executive Boulevard). Continue straight across Nepperhan Avenue and continue straight up the hill to North Broadway. Turn left on North Broadway, then go 1/2 mile and turn right at entrance to Untermyer Park, just after you pass St. John’s Hospital.
Parking inside the park is limited to about 75 spaces; there is also parking on North Broadway or a neighborhood street.
Cross County Parkway
Take the Cross County Parkway westbound to the Saw Mill. Stay to the right after you pass the Yonkers Avenue exit and take the right fork to the Saw Mill Northbound. Exit at Exit 9 (Executive Boulevard). Continue straight across Nepperhan Avenue at the traffic, and continue straight up the hill to North Broadway. Turn left on North Broadway, then go 1/2 mile and turn right at entrance to Untermyer Park.
Parking inside the park is limited to 60 spaces; there also is parking on North Broadway or a neighborhood street.
Driving Directions to our Rain Site, Saunders High School
By Car from points south:
Use the best route to reach the Saw Mill River Parkway North.
Exit at Exit 5A (Palmer Road).
Turn right at the end of the exit ramp onto Palmer Road.
After approximately .2 mile, you will have reached the school on the left.
There is a small parking lot in front of the school. Please consult the map below to access the other two school parking lots.
By Car from points North:
Use the best route to reach the Saw Mill River Parkway South.
Exit at Exit 5A (Palmer Road).
Turn right at the end of the exit ramp onto Stratton Road S.
At the end of the block, turn right onto Palmer Road.
After approximately .3 mile, you will have reached the school on the left.
There is a small parking lot in front of the school. Please consult the map below to access the other two school parking lots.

By Public Transportation:
By Bus:
The Bee Line, Westchester’s bus system, has two lines, the #2 and #6, conveniently goes to the Untermyer Park area seven days a week. For more information on the Westchester Bee Line Bus System, visit their website at http://transportation.westchestergov.com/.
The #2 line stops about one block from the park at Gateway Road. If heading north, you must cross the street and continue to walk north to the park entrance. If you are heading southbound, just walk approximately 1 block north and enter the park.
The #6 line stops approximately 2 blocks from the park. Exit at the Tudor Woods/Gateway Road stop and take Gateway Road to North Broadway. Cross the street and walk approximately one block north to the park entrance at 945 North Broadway.
The fare for each bus ride is $2.75, payable by exact change; only coins can be used to pay the cash fare. No pennies or bills are accepted, and no change will be made. You also can use your MetroCard to pay for your ride.
By train:
Yonkers is on the Metro North Hudson Line. Although the Greystone Train Station is closer, we suggest you use the Yonkers Train Station. Trains stop more frequently at this station, and there usually are taxis available in front of the station.
The #6 bus stops in front of the station; exit at the Tudor Woods/Gateway Road, and take Gateway Road to North Broadway. The entrance to the park is at 945 North Broadway.
If you choose to exit the train at Greystone, the park is about one mile from the garden, but it is a difficult uphill walk.
Take the stairs to Warburton Avenue, head south to the Odell Avenue intersection. Walk up Odell Avenue until you reach North Broadway. Turn right on North Broadway and continue walking past the hospital until you reach the park entrance at 945 North Broadway. This station does not have a taxi stand, so there will not be taxis waiting.
